can i use t cut to lift colour on red car?

bonnet and roof of red car colour has gone really dull will using t cut bring the colour back

this T cut is a cutting compound, right?
it will take off the dull surface and expose the original colour.
if doing by hand only do a small section at a time, only a little compound and a LOT of rubbing
if doing with a machine use a lambswool buffer on ;your drill, be careful not to do one spot for too long, as you don;t want to go below the red colour
put a good protecting wax on when it is done.
