Who V / receiver is best for HDMI and THX / DTS. I prefer Yamaha, can someone tell me other brands / models?

I prefer Yamaha, can someone tell me other brand or model of Yamaha that supports all audio and produce the best quality with HDMI compatibility?

I agree with everyone so far, but I'm with you on this one. Yamaha has a meaning really good. THX, at least when George Lucas was his, was a certification process that was difficult to pass. If you a system of "THX" theater in your home, you can be sure that the system meets the highest standards. Now that THX has been sold, their label began to appear on the HTiB systems. lol If you do a little research on the theoretical aspects of surround sound, you will find the leading professionals disagree on many things. Obvious disagreement on the need to have more speakers in the rear than the front. Even in the absence of formal education on this subject, we can do instinctively when it might be better to have more speakers in the front and rear. I agree. But you do not have to choose between two if you choose to Yamaha, it does both well! Yamaha has spent much time and money on their treatment Topart which seems surprising in a system with 5 front and 4 rear speakers. Remember, first Yamaha is a company of musical instruments, even if this is not the most their money comes from. Start by 5.1 if that is what permits budjet, then 7.1, then 9.1, then 9.2 and so on ... It is a bit expensive, but the RX-Z11 is designed for 11.2 to 11.4 and it's amazing! Regarding other brands, Pioneer Elite is a excellent choice and Onkyo has returned with good options. Marantz is excellent and you can even use their bottom line, Denon. I would like to avoid because Harmon Kardon reliability problems. As has been said by others here, make sure you stay more enjoyable with models of any any manufacturer so you up to date with HDMI v1.3 so you can decode HD audio from Blu-ray.
